A deep tissue oil massage uses slow, firm strokes and warm oils to reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. At Ancient Dynasty, our therapists focus on the areas where tension builds up most, the neck, shoulders and lower back, to help you feel looser, lighter and more mobile.
It is a firmer style than a relaxing Swedish massage, and a favourite for desk-bound workers, gym-goers and anyone carrying stubborn knots. Pressure is always tailored to you, so it stays comfortable from start to finish.
It should not be. Our therapists work at a firm but comfortable pressure and check in with you throughout, adjusting to your body. Tell your therapist any time you would like it softer or firmer.
Sixty minutes suits most guests. Choose 90 or 120 minutes for fuller, head-to-toe coverage, or a focused 30 minutes for a quick neck and shoulder reset.
Many guests visit weekly or fortnightly for ongoing tension, or simply as needed after long days and travel. Your therapist can suggest a rhythm that suits you.
It is entirely optional (add $8). A calming lavender or an invigorating peppermint can make the session even more relaxing, the choice is yours.
